Hi there! My name is Luisa and I’m a food addict based in London and originally from Italy.
Coming from an Italian family the passion and love for food has always been in my blood. My father was a chef and I grew up in the kitchen of my family hotel – cooking has always been part of my life.
I still remember the first time I cooked something on my own. I was only six, it was a cold winter day and I wanted to cook something to surprise my family. I opened my father’s old and massive cookbook and searched for a nice sweet recipe. I don’t know why but I ended up trying to cook a homemade puff pastry that in my opinion is quite a difficult recipe to prepare.
As you can guess the result was not so great but I still remember my older sister saying “Well done Luisa, it’s amazing!”, she was obviously humouring me but made me feel very proud of what I had made. Since then my cooking skills have much improved but the passion and excitement for cooking are still the same. I love trying new ingredients, mixing flavours and developing new recipes.
Having suffered for many years from IBS and food intolerances, I started cooking mainly healthy food and often dairy-free options. I’m a big fan of vegetables, herbs and spices and love eating healthy to feel well in mind and body.
The idea behind “A Healthy Tasty Life” is to promote healthy eating and share my passion for food. I want to show you how to cook amazing meals using simple fresh ingredients, avoiding unnecessary fats, preservatives and adapting the recipe to your own requirement (gluten-free, dairy-free, nut-free, vegan…).
