Here we are again with a new Smoothie Bowl recipe!
This time I want to propose you a Spirulina Smoothie Bowl!
Have you ever tried Spirulina?
If you haven’t heard of spirulina before, it’s a natural “algae” that is incredibly high in protein and a good source of antioxidants, B-vitamins, amino acids, iron, chlorophyll, and magnesium. When harvested correctly from non-contaminated ponds and bodies of water, it is one of the most potent nutrient sources available!!
I won’t lie to you, it doesn’t taste so great as it has a very strong flavor, but trust me, when mixed in a smoothie it tastes wonderful and the health benefits of this algae are so good that you will want to try it out!
For the toppings feel free to choose whatever you want. Below I’ve written the ones I used, but feel free to leave some out or add others!
